For months, Denver Nuggets guard Ty Lawson has voiced confidence that
he’ll receive a contract extension that will keep him from hitting free
agency at season’s end. Despite the fact that a deal still isn’t done
with the Oct. 31 deadline looming, Lawson believes something will get
worked out.

“I’m still confident,” Lawson said to HOOPSWORLD. “My agent is
working with Masai Ujiri and Josh Kroenke so I feel like in the next
couple of weeks something will get done. We’ll see.”

According to sources close to the situation, the Nuggets’ current
offer is in the neighborhood of $44 million over four years, which is
just south of what it will likely take to get a deal done before free
agency. The 2013 free agency class isn’t going to be overflowing with
starting-caliber point guards like Lawson. On the open market, he could
very easily receive an offer in the $12-13 million range per year.

So, while the Nuggets may need to up their offer a bit, the two sides
do appear to be close enough to where an agreement can be made before
the deadline.

DENVER, Oct. 22, 2012 – The Denver Nuggets have exercised the
third-year options on F Kenneth Faried and G/F Jordan Hamilton for
2013-14, Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Masai Ujiri
announced today.
Faried, the 22nd overall pick of the 2011 NBA Draft, averaged 10.2
points and 7.7 rebounds as a rookie in 2011-12 and earned a spot on the
NBA All-Rookie First Team. Faried also was named Western Conference
Rookie of the Month for April.

He is averaging 11.0 points and 5.8 rebounds in five preseason games.

Hamilton, the 26th overall pick in 2011, averaged 4.4 points and 2.4
rebounds in 26 games as s rookie. He is averaging 12.3 points in three
preseason games.

Hamilton was acquired from the Dallas Mavericks as part of a three-team
trade involving the Portland Trail Blazers on June 23, 2011.

The Denver Nuggets have waived G Anthony
Carter and G Ben Uzoh, Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations
Masai Ujiri announced today.
The moves bring Denver’s roster to the NBA-maximum 15 players.

Carter, 6-1, 190, averaged 4.3 points, 5.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds in three preseason games with the Nuggets.

Uzoh, 6-3, 205, appeared in one preseason game for Denver; he scored two
points and handed out three assists in 20 minutes against the Golden
State Warriors.

)... Bas bih voleo da trejduju Lawson-a i da dobiju nekog extra igraca.

I iz onog trade-a za Melo-a smo dobili vise nego sto vecina misli...ko se sjeca ostatka igraca,bili su ukljuceni i Randolph i Brewer,koji su sad nasi igrac a bukvalno nista nismo dali vise za njih...dat je samo pik 2e runde dallasu za fernandeza a ovog na poklon dobili Smile
